A majority of home buyers have questions for the home inspector after the inspection. The inspection report itself naturally will lead to questions from a home buyer. If the inspector found cracked roof tiles most buyers aren’t going to ignore that information, they’ll have questions. How severe is the problem? Do I need to have a roofer further inspect? How much will this cost?
However, it’s rare that buyers ask the home inspector questions before the inspection, which is a must. First and foremost, not all home inspectors are created equal, so finding out their credentials and what they inspect is important. Also, knowing the cost and how long an inspect takes is important too.
