During the spring time when most of the buyers are out and about looking for a home to buy it is a great time to be on the market. At the same time many other sellers are also selling their home during the spring so the competition can get intense. When selling a home during the spring time it helps to have the home in the best condition as possible in order to compete better against other not so well prepared homes. The longer a home sits on the market the more likley it is due to a high price or not so great condition (which can be dealt with through proper pricing). As time goes on and no offers are made the homeowners will be forced to either make some costly upgrades or reduce the price of their home in order to get buyer interest.
