TEEKRI LAUNCHES JEWELRY COLLECTION THAT PROMOTES THE CREATIVE WORK OF WOMEN

Philanthropic fashion retailer poised for next phase of growth and building on charitable partnerships

January, 2020 – Teekri is excited to announce their bold jewelry collection aimed at empowering women. The line, featuring an array of colorful statement pieces, consists of necklaces, bangles, earrings and more. Hand-crafted by artisans in India, Teekri aims to employ women in less fortunate economic backgrounds in India, thereby providing them with a sustainable source of income.

“We are passionate about employing women in India and encouraging their artistic skills to help create our line of incredibly special jewelry,” said Sajive Jain, Founder, Teekri.

Uniquely and carefully constructed from engineered wood, Teekri jewelry flaunts a natural shine and long-lasting physique. The birch wood makes for an exceptional medium to create one-of-a-kind pieces. The bold look and lightweight physique are a great combination, designed by a team of global designers from the UK, Germany, USA and India.

“The Teekri customer is confident and chic. They gravitate towards our bold and colorful array of specially designed jewelry, and appreciate the affordable pricing making it readily available,” said Jain.

The Jain family values funding the personal growth and skills of their international community. This is why they’ve established the ‘Skill Development Center.’ At this center, any employee eager to learn the craft is welcome. Currently, the center provides basic computer training, stitching, beautician, and handicraft classes.

“One of our proud initiatives to educate the girl child is the ‘Apna School,’ which is stationed in a remote village in India where there was no provision of education available within a 5-mile radius. At the Apna School, nearly 50% of the children pay no fees and the rest pay a minimal fee.”

The school started 15 years ago with 10 students and has since expanded to 900+, almost 350 of which are girls.
