Want to get married at a wedding venue as unique as the two of you? Forget the old places and go out and do something wet, cranky, or weird.

Wet

There are many options for an overwater wedding. You can have an underwater wedding in Hawaii. Snorkel weddings in the Caribbean or get married on a big boat in Chicago. Or, you can go a step further and attend a true one-of-a-kind event – the world’s only underwater hotel wedding.

Jules’ Undersea Lodge in Key Largo, Florida is a true underwater lodge. Guests must dive 21 feet below sea level and enter through a channel Pros and Cons of Eloping at the bottom of the hotel. Inside the house, there will be a wedding. It includes an entrance to the wet room, two bedrooms, and a communal living room. This is the common part of the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Imagine a honeymoon underwater. Lie on the bed and watch the fish through the window.

Your wedding is officiated by a notary public. Dive service followed by toasting and cutting the cake, yes, still dry. For dinner, you get a caviar appetizer and two main courses, lobster or steak. Palm salads and desserts are the heart. Your meal will be prepared by a chef who will be deep into your accommodation. The next morning, the chef will sneak into the cabin and prepare breakfast. Jules’ undersea cabin wedding is perfect for those looking to escape to an unusual place.

What’s crazier than a shotgun wedding or a wedding in a haunted hotel?

Have a wedding and honeymoon in Ultraman, Arizona, and you’ve got it all. Where did you ask Altman? A historic ghost town 20 miles southeast of Laughlin, Nevada that was once a thriving mining town during the Gold Rush, Ultraman is now a Wild West shooting and wedding destination. Ultraman has shotguns every day, and the Ultraman Hotel is also home to the Ultraman Hotel. Clark Gable and Carol Lombard on their wedding night in 1939.

The Altman Hotel is said to be imbued with spirits such as former congressmen like Clark Gable and Carol Lombard and Irish miners who once lived there. Hotel staff and guests are said to have heard the soulful laughter of Gable and Lombard in the honeymoon room. There are also reports of bagpipes from the Irish miners’ room, which the spirits call “oats”.

Another wedding venue that many believe is haunted is Thayer’s Historic Bed and Breakfast in Annandale, Minnesota, owned by psychic Sharon Gammell. Interactions, ghost hunts, psychic readings, and small weddings, Gammell can arrange if you want. Thayer’s historic B&B was built in 1895 and is said to be home to many ghosts. Including the original owner Caroline and Gus Thayer and some of their friends. For your cat lovers, Thayer’s is also home to three resident ghost cats. (like some living cats)

Eccentric

For the quirkiest wedding experience, try the Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton, where you can hold your ceremony on the bridge of USS Enterprise 1701-D. The Minister will wear Starfleet to your wedding while playing space wedding music. Behind the scenes, it depends on the wedding package you choose. You can choose from one to three Star Trek characters for your wedding: Klingon, Ferengi, or Borg.

Depending on the size of your wedding, you can choose to host your wedding at Quark’s Bar or Captain’s Lounge. You can choose from a variety of welcome menus, but I’d go for the Romulan Warbird, a marinated chicken breast served with wild rice pilaf and seasonal vegetables. The wedding cake has the Star Trek logo on it.

Hopefully, some of the wedding ideas above will appeal to you. Or help you think of other creative and unique ways to celebrate your wedding. Maybe a wet, wild and bizarre wedding isn’t for you. Maybe you need to escape to Hawaii or Las Vegas. whatever you decide to do to make it special.
