A Millionaire discovered the three boys he raised as his own were not his – when doctors told him he had been born infertile.
Richard Mason, 55 was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis- a genetic lung disorder which stops male sufferers from having children.
He sued ex-wife Kate and she has now agreed out-of-court settlement to hand back £250,000 of the £4million she received when they divorced in 2008 which included cash for private school fees.
After he contacted Mrs Mason, 54, she admitted an on-iff affair with a colleague at Barclays Bank during their 20-year marriage. She said they had sex on six to 12 occasions but insisted the man couldn’t be the father as they always used a condom. DNA tests later proved Mr Mason was not father to the twins but the eldest boy refused to give a sample, saying: ‘He’s my dad and that’s that.’
